Follow the steps below to register to vote or check your voter registration. Contact pennvotes@upenn.edu for additional help and check this privacy page if you have any concerns.

After registering to vote, check back after two weeks to ensure your registration is correct.

If you move your place of residence and change your address, consider re-registering with your updated address. 

Register to Vote Online / Confirm Your Registration

Prefer to vote online? Follow the steps below based on whether you’re registering to vote in Pennsylvania, or in another state. 

Registering in PA

The Pennsylvania Department of State website has a tool to help you through the voter registration process or update your voter registration information.

Live in a College House? Don’t forget to include your mailing address when prompted, including your building code. Find your mailing address here.

Registering in Other States

Visit the National Association of Secretaries of State’s website to register to vote or view your voter status.

Register to Vote In-Person (PA)

Prefer to register in Pennsylvania using a paper form? There are many options available to you!

Make sure you fill out your form correctly by viewing the sample on the right.

Option 1: Download, complete, and mail-in a paper registration form. Note: postage is required. If you are registering to vote in Philadelphia, mail the form to 520 N. Columbus Blvd, 5th Floor, Philadelphia, PA 19123. You may also hand deliver your registration form to the same address.

Option 2: Register in-person at Room 142 in the Philadelphia City Hall.

Option 3: Register in-person at the satellite voting office at 4029 Market St., right by campus.
