Diversity and Inclusion Coordinator (2021-22)

Penn Leads The Vote, Penn’s nonpartisan, student-led voter engagement and education organization housed in the Netter Center in partnership with the Office of Government and Community Affairs, seeks a qualified candidate to join the PLTV team as Diversity and Inclusion Coordinator. Responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing a strategy for PLTV to increase civic engagement in historically underrepresented and disenfranchised communities on campus 
  • Strengthening relationships with cultural organizations on campus, including 6B and G12
  • Collaborating and hosting events with cultural student groups on campus 
  • Exploring opportunities for additional partnership development and organizational collaboration across campus and Philadelphia
  • Analyzing Penn demographic voting data to inform PLTV’s engagement strategy
  • Assisting with other duties as they arise within the organization 
  • Collaborating with the Undergraduate and Graduate Partnerships Coordinators 

We are looking for someone who possesses the following:

  • Strong writing, communication, and interpersonal skills 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365
  • Demonstrated interest in voter and civic engagement
  • Ability to complete high-priority tasks on a tight deadline
  • Robust problem-solving skills and outside-the-box thinking 
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity and voting rights 
  • Free for mandatory weekly team meetings once a week 
  • Experience in organizing communities of color / underrepresented communities, or prior leadership engagement in those spaces is a plus

Designer (2021-22)

Penn Leads The Vote, Penn’s nonpartisan, student-led voter engagement and education organization housed in the Netter Center in partnership with the Office of Government and Community Affairs, seeks a qualified candidate to join the PLTV team as Designer. Responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and distributing inform grational graphics, swag, posters and promotional materials for PLTV
  • Creating design content to post regularly on PLTV social media and provide to partner organizations
  • Collaborating with the Social Media Coordinator to post on PLTV social media 
  • Advising website design (no coding required)
  • Assisting with other duties as they arise within the organization, such as staffing tables 

We are looking for someone who possesses the following:

  • Experience designing graphics, posters, and flyers using Adobe Photoshop or comparable interface 
  • Demonstrated interest in voter and civic engagement
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, team, and organizational skills
  • Ability to complete high priority tasks on a tight deadline
  • Robust problem solving skills and outside-the-box thinking 
  • Experience in web design is a plus
  • Experience managing social media accounts is a plus
  • Free for mandatory weekly team meetings once a week

Events Coordinator (2021-22)

Events Coordinator

Penn Leads The Vote, Penn’s nonpartisan, student-led voter engagement and education organization housed in the Netter Center in partnership with the Office of Government and Community Affairs, seeks a qualified candidate to assist as Events Coordinator

As Events Coordinator, responsibilities would include:

  • Planning for all PLTV events including tabling, events with partner organizations, and larger events for registration and election day
  • Coordinating all logistics for events such as space and table reservations and acquiring materials 
  • Working with Field Organizer in gathering and managing volunteers for events 
  • Manage communication with other organizations for event partnerships
  • Assist with other duties as they arise within the organization 

 

We are looking for someone who possesses the following:

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Strong writing skills and comfortable presenting to large groups
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to triage crises and coordinate many moving parts at once 
  • Commitment to PLTV’s mission and a self-starter attitude to take initiative
  • Experience with event planning and logistical coordination is a plus
  • Free for mandatory weekly team meeting
